Instead of adapting an off-the-shelf unit, we built the kiosk\u2019s enclosure, hardware layout and peripherals around EXAT\u2019s system requirements from day one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kiosk stands at EXAT\u2019s headquarters in Bangkok and controls visitor access to the server room: each visitor scans their ID card, registers their face, and the doors open automatically. We delivered the project in 20 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who is EXAT?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Expressway Authority of Thailand<\/strong> is a state enterprise under Thailand’s Ministry of Transport<\/strong>, founded in 1972 and headquartered in Bangkok. It builds, operates and maintains expressways, including toll collection. Public-sector projects like this carry strict functional and system requirements, which is why a standard kiosk was not enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is a custom self-service kiosk?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A custom self-service kiosk is a kiosk that the manufacturer designs for one organization\u2019s specific system and service flow. Instead of picking a fixed catalog model, the manufacturer tailors the enclosure, internal layout and peripherals, such as ID card readers, face-recognition cameras, printers and payment devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hardware fits the requirements, not the other way around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why an off-the-shelf kiosk didn’t fit?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
